An essential part of bringing your idea to reality is testing through prototyping. This enables you to verify the robustness of the design at an early stage in the design/development process. A good prototype will provide functional, close-to-finished representation of the design that can be used to test multiple different aspects of the product's design during the development process. Prototyping techniques vary depending upon both the product being designed, and the stage of the design process that the prototype is being used for.

 

Here at 3D Mind Design we employ multiple different approaches to prototyping depending on the requirements and the fit-for-purpose. The different types of prototypes can range from virtual prototypes to cardboard representations to fully functional 1:1 scale prototypes. Our physical prototypes are fabricated using a combination of technologies such as 3D printing, CNC machining, Laser cutting and various other technologies best suited for the task.

 

We believe having a good prototype not only save development cost but also streamline the product life cycle as the prototype can be used early on in-place of the final product before production is commenced.
